SAE score another fundraising goal for the Bobby Moore wear your football shirt to work day. Staff enjoyed some good humoured rivalry last Friday as they donned their teams’ colours. 2017 marks the fifth year of Football Shirt Friday. Since 2013, thousands of pounds has been raised and invested in pioneering research carried out by leading scientists working across the UK.
Bobby Moore was just 51 years old when he died. The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK was set up by Stephanie Moore MBE, Bobby’s Widow, in his memory to fund pioneering, life-saving bowel cancer research.
SAE operations director Nick Bousfield said “The team at SAE are fantastic at supporting such great causes. They are always willing to get involved and join in. We are really proud of their enthusiasm and dedication”.
The day ended with no serious injuries, late tackles or red cards and £124 was raised in the process. This is a fantastic addition to the fundraising efforts SAE have already seen this year.
